Import Formats
CSV Import
Upload CSV files containing your size chart data for quick table creation.
What CSV Import Creates:
- Table modules only - creates size charts with measurement tables
- Perfect for importing sizing data from spreadsheets
- Charts are imported as drafts and can be edited before publishing
CSV Requirements:
- Maximum file size: 10MB
- Maximum columns: 20
- Maximum rows: 1,000
- Header row required: First row must contain column headers
How to Use CSV Import:
- Prepare your CSV file with size data
- Ensure the first row contains descriptive column headers
- Upload the file using the CSV import option
- Review the created table and add additional modules if needed
- Configure display settings and publish
Note: CSV imports create table modules only. For full module support including text, images, and other content types, use JSON import.
JSON Import
Import complete size charts with all module types and configurations.
What JSON Import Includes:
- All module types including tables, text, images, headings, spacers, dividers, lists, and callouts
- Complete module settings and configurations
- Original formatting and layout
- Best imported from previously exported JSON files from Sizely
How to Use JSON Import:
- Upload a JSON file (preferably from a previous Sizely export)
- All charts will be imported as drafts
- Review imported content and settings
- Edit charts as needed before publishing
- Configure display settings for your store
Best Practice: JSON import works best with files previously exported from Sizely, ensuring full compatibility and preserving all features.
After Importing
Once your size charts are imported:
- Review content - Check that all data imported correctly
- Edit as needed - Modify charts to fit your current needs
- Configure display settings - Set up where charts will appear (products, collections, vendors, or types)
- Change status to active - Imported charts start as drafts, so publish when ready
- Test on storefront - Verify charts display correctly to customers
Tips for Successful Imports
- File preparation: Ensure CSV files have clear headers and properly formatted data
- Size limits: Keep files under the maximum limits to avoid import errors
- JSON compatibility: Use JSON files exported from Sizely for best results
- Review before publishing: All imports start as drafts, giving you time to review and adjust
- Backup originals: Keep copies of your import files as backups
